Prof. Attiya Waris Appointed as Commissioner at O’Neill-Lancet Commission on Racism, Structural Discrimination & Global Health

Professor Attiya Waris who lectures Fiscal Law at the Faculty of Law, has   received an official appointment to be a commissioner on the newly established O’Neill- Lancet Commission on Racism, Structural Discrimination and Global Health which will last approximately 3 years with the first two years dedicated to research, consultation and development of the Lancet report, and the final year for dissemination of the report and findings across various communities in the world.

Monica Malith, is the 5th UNSA Chairperson

Monica Malith, a third-year international student at the Faculty of Law, will lead the University of Nairobi Students’ Association.

On Friday, March 22, 2023, students successfully cast their votes online through an electronic ballot for the Faculty and Campus Students Association teams. On Saturday, March 25, 2023, 39 electors from all 13 electoral colleges cast their votes for the Students' Council.

University of Nairobi Faculty of Law Students Shine at Strathmore’s Inaugural Tax Law Hackathon 

Mercy Cheptoo, Kibet Brian and Musikoyo Elly Keanes, who are our final-year students, are the winners of the Inaugural Strathmore Tax Law Hackathon. The competition required students to come up with innovative and equitable methods of taxing professional services and the digital economy.  The team also emerged as the second runner up in the best presentation category.
