The Faculty of Law celebrated its 2nd Annual Research Conference during the University of Nairobi's 6th Research Week, held from October 23rd to 27th, 2023. The conference, themed "Law and Sustainability: Navigating Challenges and Fostering Resilient Communities," was a testament to the faculty's commitment to exploring the vital role of law in shaping the resilience and sustainability of communities in today's rapidly changing world.

The Faculty of Law, as part of the 2023 University Research Week will host the 2nd Annual conference under the theme of Law and Sustainability: Navigating Challenges and Fostering Resilient Communities: Exploring Legal Frontiers for Sustainable Development”.

In a significant development that garnered significant attention within the legal and academic circles of Kenya, President William Ruto has appointed Prof. Collins Odote as the new Non-Executive Chairperson of the Council of Legal Education, replacing the former Attorney General, Prof. Githu Muigai, who resigned recently.  This appointment, announced through a gazette notice dated October 5, 2023
