The Faculty of Law today hosted members of the Council of Legal Education (CLE) for an on-site inspection of its Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme, reaffirming the institution's commitment to quality legal education, academic excellence, and continuous improvement.

The inspection forms part of the Council's quality assurance and accreditation framework aimed at ensuring legal education providers maintain the standards required for training future legal professionals.

For the first time in the competition's history, the University of Nairobi has advanced to the elimination rounds of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna, Austria  and walked away with one of its most prestigious oral advocacy awards.

The University of Nairobi on 23 April 2026 convened a high-level National Stakeholder Engagement Forum to examine the Draft National Land Policy 2025 and assess whether Kenya’s ongoing land reform process is adequately prepared to address the country’s evolving land challenges. The forum brought together government officials, National Land Commission (NLC) commissioners, legal scholars, civil society actors, development partners, and policy experts in a broad consultative dialogue on the future of land governance in Kenya.
