Announcement on Semester Dates CHSS Jan 2021

 The College of Humanities and Social Sciences online learning continues from January 11, 2021 for the first semester ; Year I, II,III,IV. 

While the 2nd Semester which is expected to begin on February 1, 2021 will be on campus learning for all the students of the college. 

The University of Nairobi senate met on December 22, 2020 and approved a proposal for the  continuity of  blended teaching and learning, reporting dates and adjustment of semester schedules. 

2021 COMMONWEALTH PHD SCHOLARSHIPS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

The Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom is offering two (2)
full scholarships for PhD only for Kenyan students, tenable from September/October
2021.The awards are tenable at any approved UK University or a University with which
the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) has a part- funding agreement. The
online Application to Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in UK are open as from 14th
December 2020 to 18th January,2021.

School of Economics Scholar Wins Top WTO Award

School of Economics Scholar Socrates Majune has won a top award by the World Trade Organization (WTO) after his policy paper emerged best among dozens drawn from around the world.

Mr. Majune, a tutorial fellow and PhD candidate has now made history by becoming the inaugural winner of the 2020 Trade Economist Thematic award, a new research focused competition.  The young scholar beat 26 other contestants to the award which also comes with a monetary reward of KES 620,000.
