Dr. Jadeed
Dr. Moza Jadeed is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for 15 years standing and an international women’s rights lawyer. She practices as an independent Legal and Development Consultant and has over 14 years’ experience in research and training in the areas of Gender, Legal, Human and Women’s rights. She is a Lecturer in the Department of Public Law at the Faculty of Law (Mombasa Campus). She is passionate about women’s rights and Shari’ah. She is a specialist on Islamic law particularly inheritance law. She has worked for various national and international organizations including the International Finance Corporation, the World Bank, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, the UN Women, the Council of Imams & Preachers of Kenya, and the Federation of Women Lawyers – Kenya Chapter (FIDA-Kenya).She is a member of the Kenyan and East African Law Societies, FIDA-Kenya and the African Consortium on Law and Religion Studies.
