On 12th March 2025, the University of Nairobi hosted a landmark public lecture titled "The Apex Court of the Land: Exploring the Supreme Court's Jurisprudence on its Jurisdiction," delivered by Hon. Justice William Ouko, Supreme Court Judge of Kenya. In his thought-provoking address, Justice Ouko provided an in-depth examination of the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction and its evolving role in Kenya’s legal framework.

FOL Hosts Supreme Court Justices from India & Kenya

On March 11, 2025, the University of Nairobi’s Faculty of Law hosted a delegation of judicial leaders from Kenya and India, marking a milestone in bilateral legal cooperation.  On Tuesday, March 4th, students from the Faculty of Law attending the Law in Transdisciplinary Contexts course had the privilege of engaging in a thought-provoking lecture delivered by esteemed scholar Professor Bo Strath from the University of Helsinki. The session, held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the University Tower, delved into the profound concepts of Ujamaa and Ubuntu, exploring their potential as guiding principles for global governance, legal frameworks, and social justice.
