UON Faculty of Law scooped two international awards at a recent Middle East Pre Vis-Moot competition that took place in Bahrain from 10th-12 March 2022. The winning team comprised of Victor Kihika and Victor Mwangi (3rd year) and Rosemary Kihiko and Victor Mugambi (4th year) students
The competition attracted 36 universities from across the globe and the team was ranked third place in both the CLAIMANT and RESPONDENT Memoranda
This win is coming exactly one month after the team took 3rd position among the African teams at the African pre-vis-Moot competition that took place in Nairobi from 16th-18th Feb 2022.
The team acknowledges it was a stiff competition but they have learnt and gathered a lot on International Arbitration and Oral Advocacy. They attribute their success to hard work and their coaches Dr Constance Gikonyo, Tabitha Joy Raore, Efat Elsherif and Bettina Akinyi.
The four member team says they are looking forward to participate in two forthcoming competitions; PCA Hague Pre Moot which will take place on 4th-5th April 2022 and the Williem C Vis ICA Moot which will take place in Vienna, Austria on 9th-14th April 2022
Congratulations to the formidable team and all the best in the forthcoming competitions!!!
