We celebrate Mr. Bosire Nyamori upon his appointment as a member of the Tax Tribunal through Friday’s Kenya Gazette by The National Treasury and Planning. Cabinet Secretary, National Treasury and Planning Amb. Ukur Yatani appointed Mwalimu Bosire alongside seventeen other members. They will serve for a period of three years with effect from the 15th April 2022.
Mr. Bosire is a lecturer at the faculty of Law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Laws degree from the University of Auckland. Mr. Bosire has worked as a tax adviser at Deloitte &Touché, PricewaterhouseCoopers, practiced commercial, and tax law at Iseme, Kamau & Maema Advocates in Nairobi. Mr. Bosire is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. Although his principal research focus is tax law, he has a continuing interest in budget policy and law; the interaction between law and accounting; and international economic law, with particular focus on regulation of investments.
The tax appeal tribunal act (no 40 of 2013) was established for the management, administration of tax appeals, and for connected purposes, and to hear appeals filed against any tax decision made by the Commissioner.
