The Chairpersons of Constitutional Commissions and Holders of Independent Offices (CCIOs) established a collaborative and consultative forum in order to provide an avenue for collaboration and consultation without compromising the independence of each institution.
Every year, the Forum holds a conference to take stock of progress made in policy, legal and regulatory reforms in addition to reviewing the development of related institutional frameworks. This year, the CCIOs’ Consultative Forum is celebrating its 10th anniversary under the theme “Celebrating a Decade of Promoting Constitutionalism and Observance of Democratic Values and Principles”. The celebrations accord the CC&IOs an opportunity to sensitize the public and other stakeholders on their mandates, programme and Strategic Plans, and to showcase the gains, challenges as well as a forum to obtain feedback.
As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations, the Faculty of Law, University of Nairobi in partnership with the CC&IOs Consultative Forum is pleased to co-host a Public Lecture on the Sub-Theme “Taking Stock of CC&IOs’ respective achievements and ”. This is a hybrid Lecture scheduled to take place on 7th April 2022 from 8.30 am to 11.30 am at Chandaria Hall for the Performing Arts, University of Nairobi Towers. University of Nairobi. The event will bring together stakeholders drawn from CC&IOs, academia and the wider public.
