The Nairobi Innovation Week, scheduled to take place from May 8th to 10th, promises a compelling focus on the intersection of law and innovation.

The Faculty of Law will delve into the theme of "Navigating the Crossroads of Innovation: Balancing Intellectual Property Rights with Open Access for Global Development."

Distinguished speakers at the event include Ms. Elizabeth Lenjo, the Chairperson of the Copyright Tribunal who also holds a position on the board of Kenya's Nuclear Power and Energy Agency, bringing a wealth of experience in legal and regulatory matters. Dr. Peter Munyi, a renowned consultant, legal practitioner, and scholar, will provide valuable insights into the legal complexities of innovation. Mrs. Sharon Chahale Wata, the Deputy Executive Director of Training and Research at the Kenya Copyright Board, will share her expertise on copyright and related issues. Lastly, Prof. Ben M.
