Two students from the Faculty are among the 2021 beneficiaries of the 2021 Chinese Ambassador Scholarship program

The Chinese Ambassador’s scholarship programme was started in 2013, with the aim of supporting needy students. The Chinese Embassy has been supporting the education institutions in Kenya in a bid to help young Kenyans to pursue their dreams at the University of Nairobi.

 Over 100 Students from the University of Nairobi have benefited from this programme since 2013. The Scholarship targets only undergraduate students under the Government Sponsored (Module 1) category. 

Speaking during the award ceremony the Vice Chancellor Prof. Kiama noted the fund has benefited over 179 needy students since it was introduced in 2013. He further noted the scholarship has transformed students from needy backgrounds to study by paying University fees for them

A total of 24 students from the 11 faculties received the Scholarships.
