Dr. Jackson Bett won the Law Teacher of the Year Award 2021, at the 4th edition of the Nairobi Legal Award ceremony for his continued and demonstrable excellence in teaching the young legal professionals. This was an inaugural Award category and it was open to any law teacher working in a higher education institution in the country.

Dr. Bett won the award for distinguished achievement in teaching and scholarly activity, visibility within and beyond the university and innovative teaching practices. He was also lauded for his efforts in the ability to enhance student learning experience through scholarly activities, effective communication skills, student engagement skills, interest in student development and student satisfaction.

The nominees for the category were drawn from different universities; Kenyatta University, University of Nairobi and Kenya School of Law

The award signifies a renewed commitment to scholarly excellence demonstrable in teaching, supervision, research and mentorship
