The University of Nairobi's Faculty of Law (FOL) Kenya Model United Nations (KMUN) team has once again demonstrated its excellence in debate and diplomacy. In a stellar display of skill and preparation, the team secured top honors at two recent intervarsity competitions.

On August 17, 2024, the UoN KMUN team participated in the Intervarsity Debate held at Kenyatta University School of Law. The team's outstanding performance earned them the prestigious titles of Best Chapter and Best Team, showcasing their comprehensive understanding of global issues and their ability to articulate persuasive arguments.

This success follows another remarkable achievement earlier in the summer. On July 13, 2024, the team participated in the Warm Up event hosted by Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) Law School. Here too, the UoN KMUN team emerged victorious, clinching both the Best Chapter and Best Team awards.

The consistent success of the team is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and the quality of education provided by the University of Nairobi's Faculty of Law. Special recognition goes to the KMUN patron, Dr. Rodney Okoth, whose guidance and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping the team's success.

These achievements not only bring honor to the University of Nairobi but also highlight the institution's commitment to nurturing well-rounded, globally aware professionals. The Model United Nations program provides students with invaluable experience in diplomacy, public speaking, and critical thinking – skills that are crucial in today's interconnected world.

The University of Nairobi community extends its heartfelt congratulations to the KMUN team and Dr. Okoth for their outstanding achievements. Their success serves as an inspiration to all students and reinforces UoN's position as a leading institution in fostering future leaders and diplomats.
