Five University of Nairobi (UON) Faculty of Law students – June Anindo, Ayaga Max, Karl Simiyu, Barbara Ayimba, and Victor Njoroge – have earned national bragging rights and international representation after their triumph at the 2024 Jessup Moot Court Competition.

Held from February 9th to 10th at Strathmore University, the competition saw the UON team outshine their peers from law schools across Kenya. Their victory reflects their dedication, talent, and rigorous preparation, once again placing the University at the forefront of legal academia.

This win is not just a feather in their caps; it also earns them the prestigious honor of representing Kenya at the upcoming Jessup White & Case International Rounds, slated for March 30th to April 6th in Washington D.C.

Beyond the competitive spirit, Moot Court competitions like Jessup offer invaluable training grounds for aspiring lawyers. By simulating real-world legal arguments and presentations, these events equip students with crucial advocacy skills that benefit them immensely throughout their legal careers.
