University of Nairobi Faculty of Law Students Shine at Strathmore’s Inaugural Tax Law Hackathon 

Mercy Cheptoo, Kibet Brian and Musikoyo Elly Keanes, who are our final-year students, are the winners of the Inaugural Strathmore Tax Law Hackathon. The competition required students to come up with innovative and equitable methods of taxing professional services and the digital economy.  The team also emerged as the second runner up in the best presentation category.

UoN Hosts The First Ever Students Alternative Dispute Resolution Conference

On 10th February, the University of Nairobi made history by hosting the first ever National Students Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Conference at the UoN Towers. The Conference was organized by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators- Kenya Branch (CIArb-K), in conjunction with the Young Arbiters Society, UON Chapter (YAS-UON), a student run society based at the Faculty of Law which promotes the knowledge and practice of ADR among students.
